JETBOATPILOT HAS SOMETHING NEW COMING SOON!!!

Links not working for me :/

Stop teasing us...either tell us or Wait

For context JBP has had patent issues before and Yamaha has a long history of skirting patents instead of licensing innovative products.

So it is perfectly understandable that Will would wait until all the paperwork is completed to release.

Yamaha would do that??? No way! lolol.
Oh, wait, they patented a rudder ("articulating keel") in AD 2015.

BTW - I'm curious, is the JBP Lateral Thruster patented?

Pretty sure. I seem to recall a similar “something’s coming, but wait a bit” message around that product.

Right. That's why I wonder, with these things it can take forever (or longer...).
I think I have one patent, took something like 4 or 5 years, I managed to forget about it in the meantime, lol.

Anybody heard from @JetBoatPilot ? Aren't they located in Panama Beach? Please post up an update.

They closed the factory and evacuated. I believe the factory is sufficiently inland to be safe from the flooding. It is Panama City Beach which is separated from the mainland that was supposed to have so much flooding. JBP is in Panama City.

What ? They prioritized their safety over our curiosity? Unacceptable!!!

Yamaha was working on their version before jbp released theirs. A few years is my understanding. An integrated piece vs. Bolt on would patent different unless patent was for the entire concept.

I really hope this is applicable to 2006 and more models. I absolutely love my ar210 but would love to surf without 15 ballast bags. But perhaps even with wills invention it will require bags. Maybe he’s just developing a shaper or something.

I have two. They took a while and I get to one up @swatski on something!
I only have one.....dangit.....I'm out of the running.....I do have a nice plaque from the company I was working for at the time. Complete with the $1 bill the paid me for the rights. It's really pretty neat. I think it's in the basement somewhere :)

Anyone heard from the JBP crew?

There’s another thread where JBP reported they are OK but suffered building damage. I’m really hoping for the best for them. I’ve seen videos from the area and it looks like complete devastation down there. Especially in the Mexico Beach area. Very sad. The gulf is home to some of the most top rated beaches in the US.

Will has posted that his family’s new home and the factory survived. Some workers stayed in the factory and are safe.

Hopefully all other JetBoaters in the PCB area are fairing as well.
