Late evening DC duties ( Dedicated captains give ride to "happy" captains who are staying offsite)

Last September @Scottintexas & @Bruce & I have mini gathering at lake ouchita. Although, we are new to boating this trip was voted as our best boating trip. That even includes Bimini. Without sidetracking too much, for our family Ouchita has a higher ROI than Bimini (period).

So last year we camped at an island and had some minor water activities. This year we are hoping to get a bit more organized and possibly organize kid/adult specific activities. For example, my kids are suckers for treasure hunting. Depending on who ends up coming we will figure things out. Scott and I have spoken and have some ideas already.

I am appending 2 relevant links about the lake itself and available accommodations.

We have been discussing a possible boat trip with the Yamaha for a long weekend to our (my) favorite lake, Broken Bow, but no reservations have been made. No plans for a big (2 week) trip this year with the camper so we my have time and funds for a boat trip. We need to visit our calendar and make some decisions.

june 9th weekend is not set in stone, but I tried to make it at least one week after school ends and as far away as possible from the first Bimini trip.

I am going in June & July, but Bruce is going in July.

Note: I have an obligation in Lake Powell at the end of July but besides that, I, personally, will be up for 2 lake Ouchita gatherings. Given the proximity and company I will probably go every other weekend LOL

Is this going to be a camping on an island like last year or stay where you wish and meetup on the water gathering? Is it cool enough at night to be comfortable sleeping in a tent in June? @Bruce ? Are there resorts that would allow us to bring our labrador retriever?

Do that please! With bimini and shelbyville and another family vaca in between all in july my boss isn't gonna think twice letting me take a week to go down next year!
