Lets take a ride around Manhattan. . . .

Weather permitting i would like to do this trip Saturday October 6.

For those that have done this trip from patsys bay marina, is there anything i need to know? Does the tide affect boat launching/retrieving?

Sorry. . . Been slacking. End of Sept. is out for me, just too much going on. Working on October schedule now. Was thinking possibly Columbus day weekend but have to confirm with the boss.

Let me know when you come up with something I may roll up and jump on someone else’s boat or steal my old hurricane deck boat I gave to my brother who has it in NY

I cant make it on the 6th, I have a fundraiser for my Water Rescue station that day.

Hey whats up guys,

Just came across this thread. Ive done the city trip twice this year and would do it again for sure. I launch the boat out of World Fair Marina In Queens, NY. The Ramp is in good condition but the tide swing is 10-12 feet, so the ramp is steep. The scenery is great, although I don't recommend swimming in the east river the Hudson river is fair game and by the statue of liberty is cool for a dip too. I've done the trip at night and during the day. They both have an awesome feeling and gives you two totally different views.

Hunting season starts Oct 1st for me. so if its warm Im in !!

What's up guys. . . . Sorry about my radio silence on this one. Work has had me pretty busy last 6 weeks and trying to put together the schedule to make this work.

If someone wants to take the lead on organization and set a date, feel free. . . Will join if I can. At the rate I am going I am looking at mid October the earliest. Hope to be able to firm something up after the weekend.

The weather is looking good saturday even better sunday. Anybody interested?

Too funny, I was just about to come on here and post about Sunday. . . . . Sunday is looking fantastic.

I am thinking of launching from Patsy's Bay up in Stony Point this Sunday by 10-103oa, and heading South to Manhattan.

Find a place to drop anchor in/around CitiField/LaGuardia to eat lunch and then motor in and around the city towards Statue of Liberty.

Who's in?

We are in as well!

Dang not sure I could pull this off that fast for a Sunday run I may have to try and catch it another time.

I'm unfortunately in the same boat (pun possibly intended) as @robert843 Not sure I can do a Sunday right now either :(

There is a good chance I can make Sunday. Weather so far is looking good.

Hey Everyone, I am sorry to report that my ability to participate Sunday is slim to none at the moment. . . . I pulled out my back pretty badly this a.m. and am currently struggling to move around. If the last 14 hours are any indication, I don't think I will be better in time to enjoy the day.

That's terrible! Sorry to hear it, and we hope you heal quickly. Been there with the back stuff and it's no party. Surprisingly, calf stretches seem to help me prevent most attacks and also seem to alleviate the pain when it does happen.

So just out of curiosity, can we get a head count of who is in for sure?

I was also hoping to go but work will be preventing me this weekend.

Anybody else?

I'm still in for this Sunday and will put in at Patsy's Bay Marina between 9:30-10am. Weather still looking great.
