As we use our boat for many different purposes, I wanted to devise a way to mount a trolling motor for fishing. What follows is a pictorial history of our solution.

As fishing is an occasional use we leave the motor ashore and only mount when needed.

Also made a two piece plywood deck that converts the bow seating area to a fishing platform.

You may want to share the pics of the fishing / casting deck too. Could or do you use that deck with additional cushions for a large sun pad or bed?

Still working on the casting deck. Would only set it up to fish as when someone lays out they want to lay on the cushions rather than hard plywood. Will post when completed

My boat has the cushions that span the walkway so just wanted a hard surface to fish from. Standing on the cushions seemed like a bad idea
