Nope, 2015 and up F150s have the license plate in the center. It just snaps on. Doesn't matter if it's the NA engines or the turbos. Makes no sense to me. I removed mine from my 3.5 Ecoboost. I want all the cool air it can get.Yeah that doesn't seem to jive with any of the Ecoboost trucks I've seen here in IL. The EB trucks here in a native 2 plate state are the offset ones, only the NA engines get the center mount ones. My guess is someone added that on, perhaps so they could put an advertisement plate on there? Lol just a thought. Any rate, better to just chuck it!
Same here. I've only ever seen the offset plates on the EB equipped trucks. Wierd.Yeah that doesn't seem to jive with any of the Ecoboost trucks I've seen here in IL. Yup! It's a dumb design, granted at least they didn't drill into my bumper. Bought my jeep new in MD and they drilled holes in the bumper before I could get there. UGH! This one was easy enough to just yank off and toss in the trash.Nope, 2015 and up F150s have the license plate in the center. It just snaps on. Doesn't matter if it's the NA engines or the turbos. Same here. I've only ever seen the offset plates on the EB equipped trucks. Wierd. I know the Audi group has a device that installs into the factory tow recovery point. Here's one If I had to run a front plate with an EB truck I would certainly be seeking out something like that. Luckily I have neither a front plate requirement in IN, nor an EB truck.

Well the 2011-2014 F150 Ecoboosts had a charge air cooler condensation problem. They even rolled out a TSB that entailed bolting a plate in front of the CAC to block air flow to heat up the CAC to help burn off the moisture. For the 2015+ F150 they redesigned the CAC and added automatic shutters in front of the CAC to help control the temperatures. Now, for the most part, these shutters are closed/almost closed unless the throttle is mashed pretty hard. I guess they felt like the license being in front of the CAC didn’t hurt the performance.Yup! It's a dumb design, granted at least they didn't drill into my bumper.
