a) pics will be required...
b) from where did you get them?

I got some cheap Amazon waterproof LED lights a billion years ago. Never installed them yet... Someday. But then I am always looking for ideas of where to put them. And I anticipate by the time I get to putting them in they will probably be old tech and I will need to get...what you just did.

@kgower have you done your install yet?

Unfortunately, not. I had knee surgery at the end of September (meniscus). Since then, the gap between my femur and tibia has closed on the inner knee, so it is bone on bone, requiring a partial knee replacement in the next month or two.
I was at the boat recently and was looking at placement, which led me to consider whether or not I want the strips visible with the light shining into the boat or whether I want to hide as much as possible and facing down for more of a glow affect the brighter light.
Think it will be a mixture. One place that my wife came up with, that I like is on the upper transom under the back rests.
I hope to get to before surgery depending on timing.

Man sorry to hear that on your knees! I pray the surgery goes well! I want to avoid that, so my water-sports have moved to 5% wakeboard and slalom and 95% surfing. Easier on my old bones.

considering the LED upgrade as well. I’m thinking glow effect as well. Like your idea on the beneath backrests

So, you had surgery on one knee, and the other knee the gap closed up? I‘m curious as when my insurance runs out of excuses I’m probably going to get a piece of meniscus trimmed away as a little piece occasionally jumps in between the knee joint and results in rapid vertical acceleration LOL!

Agree with above poster on seeing some pics of the final product. A few years ago I installed lights the hard way (drilled, installed, ran wires to a 6 way rocker panel for turning on fore, aft and hold lights). Works well but that was a lot of futzing around with wires. Want to see how a strip can be used. Anxious to see the pics when finished.

Thanks for the prayer. If it was up to the wife, the wakeboard would never leave the rack. That said like you, these days it's mostly surfing. The falls are much easier on this 61-year-old.

Must have been a typo on my part. I edited it to read on the inner knee. somehow it came out as other knee. I have had 3 meniscus surgeries, 2 on right knee and 1 on left knee. When you do I recommend something like the attached. Had a similar product for my 1st two and recovery was much better in my opinion.

ive not had good luck with LED strips... I had 6 blue ones on my boat as indirect lighting all below eye line and all but one has failed in 3 years... also its a pain to get the adhesive residue off after a while. So this time around I went with waterproof West Marine LED fixtures, they had a sale on them last fall they were like $7 each ... Lazy me has not gotten around to installing them: Blue deck lighting and some White ones in the engine bay/bench seat storage/console storage
