I worked on a lot of Raceboats in Annapolis MD. Worked on a Yamaha too! Not a bad boat. I used to Commision all the Beneteaus that came in to the USA. during the 80s. Before Beneteau opened stateside they were imported by Arnie Gay.

Now that is pretty cool. Ours was built in S.C. in 1991 and glad it was not a French built boat, for several reasons.

This is my Sailboat . It is a Piewiet 8.5 meter . Bluewater rated boat built in Holland. We keep it near Solomon's Island Maryland.

Yeah we also did the repairs to all the French built Beneteaus when they blistered so bad. Pretty much wrote the blister repair manual as we tried different techniques!

We looked at boats all over New England a few years ago, my surveyor and myself walked away from a Beneteau 345 in Conn. right after the sea trial and short haul. We ended up buying locally 2 years ago, no blisters, and have been refitting her since. I was new to sailing when I started a thread a few years back. I have learned a lot, very quickly since. We did and are still doing a lot to her. https://jetboaters.net/threads/we-have-been-looking-to-add-to-our-boating-options.15561/
