One picture of your last outing.

Decided to take this past Monday off due to the unseasonably warm weather - low 80’s, sunny, no wind - but almost missed it.

We decided to do a run up to Fremont (@drewkaree is the unofficial Mayor) and as we were throttling up I felt a vibration on the port side engine and a lack of thrust. We continued on in no wake to clear the marina channel and I then removed the plugs. Found a small amount of weeds in both intakes (not unusual for the marina channel) but nothing that would cause what we were experiencing. As I was feeling around in the port intake I felt what seemed to be a dock line but I know it wasn’t mine. It was thin and had a loop so I was able to get both hands on it and pull - after several seconds I was able to yank it out. I’ve never seen a line like this before but I’m guessing someone tossed it in the channel and I was unlucky enough to suck it up.

We then continued on to Fremont which has a long no wake section on the Wolf River on the weekends but not during the week. It is a much more enjoyable trip during the week and cuts down on the travel time.

Had lunch at Hotel Fremont and then headed back to the boat ramp - it was a perfect afternoon. This should be our last outing of the season and if we end on that note I’ll be a happy camper.

I'm wondering if that line is from one of the boats in the slips there. No excess line, and it would loop over the posts/cleats with a minimum of excess for someone to trip on. It could also be from Skipper's themselves, tying up a new boat prior to a water test. They're not known for much, if any, throw-ins, so having an ACTUAL dock line there might be too rich for their blood to just have it go missing, so they have a few of those to keep things close to the piers.

Other than those 2 ideas, I'm left with "Tim booby-trapped it since he couldn't swing a Yamaha" 🤣
