One picture of your last outing.

On monday on lake Cumberland, 75 and sunny, water temp was 73 on the surface. Kids still jumped in.download_20151012_133317.jpeg

Lake Conroe, TX. The water is 80. Ahhh... I love it. I don't take it for granted, having lived most of my life in Canada.

We bust out the wet suits when water gets to 70 degrees on Texoma. I will never move North of wherever I live!!

Ouch. Odd spot for a contact injury...metal fatigue?

This was THE last outing for the year. Getting the boat ready to go off to storage for the winter on saturday and I needed to run some fuel through her. The water was just too smooth to not go for a ski. The water was a chilly 60 degrees!

I'll be out there this Saturday, should be warm enough. I'm pushing hard for those 10 hours before my winterize. That way I can do my first service in the spring.

I've got two pics from our visit to Ponce Inlet's across from Disappearing Island last Sunday. One of the boat & one of my family + four dogs.

I took the boat out last night by myself. The weather was a beautiful 73 degrees and the river was in great shape. I just wish the sun would have stayed out longer.

I ate dinner (peanut butter and crackers) by the Reds stadium. And then ran the 'ol boat harder than I ever have. Several 0-30mph tests and a top speed test. Top speed according to the speedometer was about 51 or 52, top speed on GPS was 48.55, which I didn't think was too bad in a slight chop with 87 octane and 2 year old spark plugs. We'll see how she does in the spring with new spark plugs. I was averaging between 5 and 6 seconds to 30mph, which I thought was pretty good.

Maybe not our LAST outing but close to it. I went and got the trailer from storage and will probably pull the boat this weekend. Let's hope the weather is decent so we can do more than just make a run from the lift to the ramp. Tonight was fantastic...a sunset run, dinner and back home by 930.
