Not power boating but still within the definition of boating. My wife and I visited Lake Natoma near Sacramento to use our inflatable stand up paddle board and kayak. It was hot as hell when we finally got there so we went early the next day instead. Only paddled about an hour, realized I don’t like it so won’t be doing it much in the future. I Did like one guy’s sup fishing set up though.

I was just thinking I like floating along on the SUP and Kayak, it’s the paddling part that I could do without. Both are great upper body workouts and the sup constantly works your core, if you are doing it right.

I miss Folsom Lake. We had a 1986 Wellcraft back in 2000. We could cruise on the lake all day and only burn $20 in gas. I assume the lake level is pretty bad right now...
The water was at least 80 degrees. We didn’t see anyone swimming in it so we decided not to either. The air temp only reached 90 when we were on the water, I’m sure the day before a lot of people were swimming by the time the temp reached 115.
Filmed at a secret location in the Utah Mountains.
Look at it this way, either you bribe your kid $20 to introduce them to something fun they'll enjoy the rest of their lives ...or dad pays $20 for the experience of riding behind the boat with his kid. Hopefully both are true and it's a valuable experience! Kade needed the bribe to get him out there, but he's been on a high over the experience ever since.

These are from last Saturday on Lake Winnebago - really calm day on the lake and about 75 degrees.
Ran across to Velvet Beach which was nice and clear but there were some algae blooms:
Headed back to the west side of the lake and anchored at Streich’s Cove which is nice if there aren’t a crap ton of boats. There was even another Yami anchored:
Trip to Bass Lake this week. Boat ran great despite the 80 degree water, 100+ air temp and new gash down the side of the boat from the ridiculous docks at the Pines Resort. Oh and I had to abandon my anchor.
