2 things actually. First was the shift cutoff switch. These things run on 4 cylinders at idle, and kick in all 6 when you put it in gear - assuming your shift switch is good. Replaced that (which was a royal PITA), and all was well - ish. Planed once, and then wouldn't again. The oil reservoir on the engine was at the minimum - storage tank isn't filling it up. So, I just kept filling it manually today. Gotta order a new oil pump, filter, and line for next weekend. Lots of homework, lots of fiddle-farting around. I'm learnin these outboard things one way or another though! (which better be quick, as I've already located my next boat, and it has a pair of Honda 225's strapped to the back ;) )

@veedubtek those Honda 225 are solid my buddy bought a used one at 600hrs and he has 2600+ now in a year a half. He goes almost everyday as a commercial spearfisher with only routine maintenance. Thing is solid. He ran it single engine this year to the Bahamas multiple times.

Temps hit 70 yesterday. Didn't go out, but had to at lease hang out on the boat!
