Here are a few pics of the fat lace drift club my son and I have been spending some time at lately. The location is the ultimate man cave in my opinion. All the cars pictured belong to the same guy, he rotates their use every week or so. There are more cars than I have pictures. Seems like a nice problem to have.

Here are a few more. By the way the silver Nissan is a full blown drift car with a modified engine, roll cage, etc. the gti was just purchased to show the body kit that they have exclusive rights to import from Japan. The Porche is the same way.

It's good clean fun, They even passed out complemtary pizza and drinks last week but damn I miss boating.

Crazy tuned up Porsches! Now I get where your Porsche desire came from....the world renowned Porsche tuner from Japan!

No. I didn't take the picture. I live farther up the river in Monongahela and the river has been frozen for a bit now. That was just a more interesting picture of it. :)

Very cool.....Seems like it would be pretty had to drift an RC car since they are so light. What's the secret, Low traction tires, front brakes that just drag a little or just stupid high power?

What a cool place. Guys got stupid money obviously...And I'll guess not married (or wasn't for a long time while all this built up)

For drifting these cars use plastic tires, my sons car is also modified so that the front diff is one way and the rear diff is locked. Most are ready to do at least 53 non scaled mph out of the box (with rubber tires installed). We changed the gearing on two of our rc cars so that they will do 60+ mph.

The drift club thing is more of a hobby for the drift club owner although formally it's just one of many businesses he runs. We are in the garage (really a converted two story home) of one of his businesses, Definitely in the money. He told me that he uses the white gti (after he raises it with airbags) to drop his 3 kids off at school since it it his newest car and hasn't been modified much so it still has four usable seats. What I saw is a gti with a body kit and new rims and tires that together are worth more than some of the cars I currently drive. He looks like a young guy, late 30"something by the way.

I see someone that believes oil changes are optional.

that looks like what I saw this morning in Dallas on the way to work, 4 inches of ice/snow and 25 degrees right now,

Yeah - it's another 6" of snow and ice on top of the 5' that's already on the ground.

Well, well, well ......... I kinda like this but I wonder how "badly" this is gonna score with Julian's new "rating" system ............ LOL !
