Had some play in this ball joint on the tow rig. It was not serviceable, no zerk fitting. Putting in a Moog.

She's all cleaned up with her winter coat on. Off to storage she went until next season. Sad day!20241102_105014.jpg20241102_105032.jpg20241102_100720.jpg20241102_100732.jpg20241102_100700.jpg20241102_100648.jpg20241102_100636.jpg20241102_100632.jpg20241102_100623.jpg

As a guy from Minnesota, I really like remote working, especially when it starts getting colder! This oil rig was not here yesterday….IMG_3569.jpeg

Did some truck stuff in the Rivian. Took a broken down grill and broken Christmas Tree to the local "Transfer Station"......New name for a dump for this southerner.

Bed on the Rivian is tiny compared to what I was used to in the Sierra. Still better than putting this nasty old grill in the hatch of an SUV though.

Load bars came in Thursday. Threw them on and got the racks configured for the mountain bikes. Not super happy with the placement, but I'm not sure how else I would set it up.

Also, first time using the Rivian camp speaker. Sounds better than I expected. Would y have optioned the truck with one, but since it came with this one, it's kind of neat to have.

Beautiful day yesterday to do a washing on the XL. Nice to break a sweat in November and burn off all the good pumpkin spice foods I have taste tested 😉

Looks like it’s going to be a good day

Lot of surface to wash on that big girl too!
You aren’t kidding! It involves a ladder and scrub brush to get the top, and drying up there is a challenge. I’m 6’2” on a good day and my wing span seems short. Years back in Ohio I had a 2002 Yukon XL and it was very difficult to find a car wash that would take such a long wheelbase. I think they are more common now, especially in Florida with all the pick up trucks.

We used to wash the company trucks once a month by hand. Boss would buy pizza and drinks and we would shut down at lunch and wash the trucks. We used to fight over who got the lesser of two evils. Either the 4dr long bed 350 with a topper, or the extended length service van. Neither was great!

Yukon looks great. Time well spent!

Conducted payload testing in the Silverado this weekend. Rough guess, there's about 2800 lbs of Bills fans actually in the bed. As they say in the towing threads...I couldn't even tell they were back there!

Man that was a good game! Should've been a bit more to our side, I think there were a couple bad calls in this one.

I'm still amazed I can hear the fans and the announcers from the house! Looks like a good time was had by all!

We try to get to one game a year, and we got our money's worth from this one. I'd prefer a blowout once in a while, but what an ending...that kick felt like it was in the air for ten minutes, the stadium was dead silent like everyone was holding their breath and knowing it was going to miss. When it went through, the place exploded!

View from the Treestand...aka, guest and Winter boat accessories bedroom on second floor. There is a button buck in this group of 5.

First floor for a closer look. Two of them.

Showing this 39 yo Whaler some love, giving her a bath after sitting for a year in the arena. The 1985 Yamaha 115 2-stroke started up and ran well on the hose. A little late in the season, but the hot weather made me do it.
