Always is, but in the rescue business we gotta use what we have. Sometimes this means several anchor points if you can't find single one that's strong enough. If I were to try it, I would want to use several anchors well set in a fan pattern. Sort of like anchoring for a hurricane. That is the key word....

Ouch!I do not think these guys have a lot of money as I said in the beginning they called Sea Tow who came out when they first discovered the boat was aground, Sea Tow was not able to get the boat free but that was not the only thing that was not free ,$1500 bucks was the price for the failure!
That Is what they said it cost them even though the attempt failed.
Agreed. It's definitely a tough situation to be in. Anchoring systems for this kind of situation can actually be pretty cheap to construct. The z-rig, not so much.like I said these poor guys have had a rough 2 months keep in mind that they just purchased the boat the day it quit running and became disabled off Fort Desoto beach, They were almost home with it when this happened.
They anchored it and jumped in the water to swim to shore in the night, they returned the following day to learn that they lost their anchor and the boat was on the sand bar, etc etc etc. Got to give them credit for not giving up .
Well the couple from Tarpon that sold everything they had and didn't get boat insurance to travel the world in a 50 year old boat - they are on national news. One month of boating experience and they tried to sail John's Pass at night. Hell I am super cautious in the middle of the day around there.
Hey social media, I need to pay bills but don't want to work for it so please fund my life and life's (stupid) choices! Kthxbye
Replace some words and be a little creative, and you too could benefit from the craziness! But I sense some contempt... Make it more sad and less angry and i bet you get some cash!!
