Have 2 more things to work out in order to go. Someone to take my spot for collecting at church and babysitter for my kids is all that stands in my way!
I need to see this new boat!

With the forecast now looking rough in Peru and Peoria but fine in the Chicago/Wisconsin area, I suggest a change to a Lake Geneva meet up? Tour lake, dock downtown, eat at Popeyes (not the chicken place), hang at big foot beach? Spoke to most already. Everyone so far prefers this plan. I am still waiting for feedback from 1 boat. We would meet and launch at the Williams Bay launch at 9:30 - 10 ish.

This would be more convenient for some of our Wisconsin members, so if you were not previously thinking of joining us because of distance, please consider joining.

I wish I could have made it. Put the boat in the barn yesterday and had swim meets all weekend.

@OperationROL what everyone think of your new boat?
I believe everyone liked the boat, but the outing didn't really have a time where folks could climb aboard and take a good look. Most saw it while docked as we headed to lunch.......or saw it while I was laying down on the swim platform reaching down to secure the drain plug that I forgot to secure before launching.....or when I launched and didn't put the clean out plugs in either. When we launched we felt like real rookies out there. We have performed these tasks without fail for 7 years....we wait 'til now to be forgetful.............Must have been the pressure of having the new shiny object.

Thanks! I definitely feel the same way!

Hey @OperationROL! Are you looking to give this a go again this year? I hope so, I look forward to getting a chance to hang out with everyone again.

Absolutely we are!
just gotta work on dates. Hey, I am trying to get some boating in before we think about fall ok?

I'm certainly not trying to call it quits on summer yet, that's for sure. Sorry if I was rushing things. :p
