Thoughts and demo rides of wake / towsports boats: Moomba Max, Axis A22, MB Sports

The removable back rest on the sun pad are interesting. You can see the woman leaning back on one of them in the one pic.

Our first ATX is showing up at the end of the month. I will try and put a little "mechanics review". I tend to be a bit nitpicky. Hopefully talk sales into taking it out and getting a couple pulls in so I can give a wave review as well. One things for sure, Tige/ATX really upped their game with the new actuators and plates. Going to be a game changer for them this year. The Lencos have too many downfalls and are definitely inferior to the Parkers they are using now.

@Recoveringfiberglassaddic What is the difference between these and the previous year boats? What is GSA? How do these compare to other boat manufacturers?

GSA is company that does aftermarket surf systems. Stands for Go Surf Assist. MB partnered with the a while back, that's why these new plates look so similar. Ryan the owner at GSA is super knowledgeable and has great customer service/support on the backend of a sale/install.

The new Parker actuators are an electro hydraulic actuator. They are super strong compared to a Lenco. The bigger advantage is Lencos are "dumb". Theres no sender in them. So the screen never truly knows where they are in real life. Screen just says "deploy 70%" so current is sent to the actuator for X amount of time. Doesnt mean it actually traveled that far. So theres so margin of error in Lenco based systems, which in my opinion is why sometimes boat surfs better than other times.

The Parkers should be able to replicate the same wave/setting more consistently. Malibu has been using them on their gates for a year or two now and they seem reliable. Lencos also have a bad problem with ingesting water and they quit working or work slower, which also affects the wave. I have replaced probably 2 dozen Lencos just this summer.

So in summary Tige "borrowed" a little bit from MB and a little bit from Bu and I think it's going to be a better wave that can be more consistently replicated. Attached is the last version of TAPS3. It's gone threw a few changes since it came out.

That tower is just so ugly. I can't see past it.

Function over form buddy. Nah, I'm with you. I don't like the tower either. If you look, it's mounted really far back too which looks odd.

That’s exactly right.
Also why many of us here use the Lectrotabs in our Yammies. They have those patented conduit thingies built in the cable for equalizing the pressure.

Did Gator Step steal your boat?

Whoa wtf lol. I didn't post that pic up on my Instagram so I guess they took it from one of the forums I post on.

I commented on that post. I guess they do a "pic of the day" and use boats they find. I don't know. I wished if they did that they tag the person but it's all good I don't really care lol. It is strange though that they tagged my dealership so either someone at my dealer sent it to them or they saw my post somewhere on a forum and somehow know I bought it from Skiers Marine. What really bugs me was my swim deck was a little dingy that day :D

Shit I haven't even washed my makai since we got her lol.

Hell yea looking good!
