No pics, but began removing old mat on swim platform to install new Seadek. Mats came up no problem but now is the tedious job of removing all the residual adhesive.

I am using one, but there is some stubborn hardened adhesive that the eraser wheel is not able to take off. Hopefully another plan of attack will work.

Acetone also works wonders on adhesive. Be SUPER careful with the stuff, though. It'll make paint chalky looking, and turn black plastic a white color.

Goof off? That's a new one - I've never found "goo gone" to work that great. Even letting it soak in, i still spend time with my fingernails trying to peel the a sticker off. De-stickering my daughters new water skis took me forever.

replaced both batteries, tried to figure out why starter would no longer work, debated taking it to a shop because I don't know how to use a multimeter very well, removed amplifiers that weren't working and cleaned out all electrical connections, realized I left one negative cable not attached to battery and suddenly starter is fixed!

Now for your next electrical gremlin, "Why's it seem like the amps aren't working anymore?" LOL

The rubber wheel works but I will warn you it gets HOT so keep that bad boy away from your skin. Sometimes the goo can sling off too and it may be hot. Been there and done that :D

Since you're saying that you're sanding it when you're all done, go with the acetone. It'll be the quickest for you. Grab a lot of rags, once a rag seems to be "full", switch to a new one. Trust me, you'll know when it feels "full", and from that point on, you're only gonna be frustrating yourself by continuing to use it. A roll of blue shop towels lets you see if you've missed anything, in case you wanna use those for your cleaning rags. If you want a spray version of acetone, it's naturally gonna be more expensive, but this is what I use for small jobs
