Built that one out of reclaimed wood from scrap pile at construction next door

We're expecting to see some pups in the next week or two, but for now we're just getting glimpses of dad around the den just off the fire road. Probably working hard to keep mom and pups well-fed. Dude looks tired. I remember that feeling...

Very nice boat.

here is the catch,$252,000 as tested (single 300 HP yamaha outnoard). TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS for 27’ day boat, WOW!!! I previously thought that Yamaha’s 27’ boat was over priced at around $100,000 to $120,000, not any more.

I was flipping through one of my boat magazines last night and saw some pontoons for over $200k. When did party barges become so expensive? Then again, these had twin 450R outboards, but still a pontoon at the end of the day.

I have lived in Naples for 20 something years and never really saw many pontoons over the years. Usually a pontoon boat on the water around here was a visitor that brought it here for vacation. Fast forward a bunch of years and they are now common on the intercoastal waters. Not really sure what changed, perhaps the buy in cost and maintenance is much lower?

I think pontoons/tritoons have just gotten much better and faster so people don’t have to settle for terrible performance for that kind of space.

If you put those engines on old style pontoons they’d rip it apart.

Out on the Lake today, first run of the year. 85° afternoon air temp. 45° water temp.

Like most things, technology improves over the years. I can remember years back at boat shows where a 60hp outboard was big power on the pontoons. Not my cup of tea, but then again, jet boats aren’t for everyone either. Whatever can get you on the water, I am all for it! ?

While the temps are in the 80’s, we’re taking advantage before it snows next week. A few from today.

The light house at the Northern end of the Burlington breakwater. Lake level high at 98+’. Breakwater almost underwater.
