I think we all know boating isn't easy and it sure isn't cheap so anytime you can save a few bucks to help improve your boating experience it's a win win situation. If you are like me my wife is the first mate so making things easier for her while we are docking is very important. For under $20 this little trick will help anyone deploy their boat bumpers quicker and easier all while not taking up any more space than what the bumpers do already. Make sure you measure your rod holder so you can determine what size pipe and end caps are needed for your boat.

Great idea for short term on the FSH boats. I wouldn't long term dock a boat up with the bumper just sitting in a rod or cup holder, but works for a quick tie-up!

That's the intended purpose is docking while loading/unloading at the ramp area or maybe marine for fuel and food. I did this because it makes it easier for the wife.

What size rope did you use? 3/8”?

This a great idea! Much better than trying to use the rear cleat.

For those without rod holders on their bow rider boats, you might find a few rod holders on your boat will come in very handy. There are gimbal mounts for things like bbq’s and trays, a great way to hold your bbq or tray without taking up any deck space.

it's 3/4 pipe with 1/2 thread end caps. Links for everything in video description.
