I’ve read several threads but still need help. Lanyard switch has been checked. If removed it kills the switches and will not allow either motor to be started. Same situation for clean out switches. SB motor sounds sluggish turning over but it does turnover but won’t start. Port has no issue starting. When throttle is in neutral it allows me to start. When not in nuetral it won’t even turn over as expected. My fear is when I left it at the marina overnight I’m not sure what happened afterwards because it ran fine when I dropped it off. What items should I check next?

Check the fuses, and the electrical connections.
Make sure it has spark and fuel.

looks like my worst fear came true. After verifying fuel pressure, and I was getting a spark, I took my boat to the Yamaha dealer (YT). Initial compression tests indicate about 60-70psi in each cylinder after the exhaust blew out a lot of water. Clamp from hose to exhaust manifold broke loose releasing the water. It seems that the marina did NOT flush the engine properly and left me with a time bomb. YT sprayed gear line to break down the rust in the cylinder walls and was able to get compression up between 70-80 psi. Only 100 more psi to go before we get back to where we started.
Friends, know who’s taking care of your boat or do it your self with methodical confidence. I’ll post again with what happens next.
