Another question.... 210 FSH anchor locker door???

Love the boat, HATE the anchor locker door opening away from me trying to deploy it. Has anyone successfully moved the hinges to the side?

I have an 2018 and it opens towards me and I have to reach over it to throw the anchor. I was going to do something about it but I have the fortress anchor and it always weighs 4 pounds I have 6 feet of stainless chain but it still doesn’t weigh much. Someone has put side hinges on one of the anchor lockers I’m not sure who when I find it rooting around I’ll throw it on your post.

Sorry... when I wrote that was thinking the anchor has to be moved away from me... yes, the door actually opens too you blocking access to the freaking anchor!

X2 on the Fortress, it’s so light it almost makes the locker door a non-issue. I’m pretty tall though, so I can be over top it easily.

I did not, I ended up getting a Minnkota Ulterra trolling motor. With spot lock, haven’t used an anchor since.

Oh, and got my Fortress hung and lost it... unhappy about that, Was a great anchor.

Right on…. I’ve sent your Ulterra post to a lot of people ! When my lead acid batteries are at end of life I may end up going the route you did. Just one of the advantages I see going the lithium route is that it removes the equivalent of a smaller person in weight… I figure a weight savings of 120#?

Back On topic… I’m sure someone on the design team must have thought the anchor locker door opening the way it does is a good idea…. I’m just at a loss what that good idea might be.
