Cleaning boat today and discovered some deterioration (?) in the vinyl on the cushions on the rear cleanout deck of my 210 FSH.
The cushions on the rest of the boat look great, just these show discoloration.
I realize the SWFL sun really takes a toll, but wondering what cleaner might help.
Have tried vinegar/water 50/50 and 303 Vinyl Cleaner/Protectant. The 303 helped a little bit, but didn’t clean them up as you can see in the pictures. The pics are after cleaning.
This area really heats up under the black Yammy cover, which may be part of the problem in our unprotected storage yard.

Suggestions appreciated!

Honestly, to me it looks like sun damaged the vinyl or possibly your cleaning pad was too aggressive. More likely the sun. I don't think you will be able to restore the color, but you can prevent further damage. I am sure you are near a West Marine store and they have many products to help you. Vinyl Care | West Marine
After looking at your cushions, which look clean, I would recommend a conditioner with UV blocking capabilities. I would try Boat Bling Condition Sauce for this.
For full disclosure...I do work for West Marine, store #185 in So. Burlington, Vt.

You might try Star Brite Vinyl Polish, use with a terri cloth towel, elbow grease not included!

I’ve had very good results with this product.

Thanks, we have a WM close!

Another thing you can try is some soft scrub and a stiff brush…this is a bit harsh but it works, I keep a bottle in my cleaning bucket for stubborn stains. Kinda like using the eraser pads, use when necessary but not very often.
