Yeah...FB is not for the young!

And I will admit that I spend 97% of my time here on the forum, not moderating our FB group.....it really serves as a way to prod people to come here. Everyone on FB is a keyboard warrior that seems to have forgotten any concepts of politeness, decorum, empathy etc.

A recent post on a group I'm in that is a boating group - not a political one:

Please stop reporting shit to me that hurts your liberal snowflake feelings. I don’t give a shit. I’m not deleting it. This is not a “socialist friendly, politically correct” page. If you’re feelings are hurt and you’re offended because you’re socialist agenda is not supported here, move the fuck on. The page is about boating to Bimini, but sometimes shit will bleed over. It is what it is. Get over it.​

This is precisely why we don't want politics on the forum. The above attitude is not the community we are trying to build.

Oh my goodness I just had the winner of all times talk about a story that is impossible. not too good with this stuff but I can try I think this is the link
Facebook It starts out ok until you realize what is being explained and then physics just jumps right in and hits you in the face so I think I did the link correctly you have to read the entire thing and realize what is being claimed is totally impossible.
For the record I checked the link when I posted it and it worked now it does not work , imagine that . it was totally insane and I had one more bomb to drop on it.

And yesterday, some dude was convinced the scupper failure was the black flap falling off, not the entire fitting, and in the process trying to tell people that replacement with stainless was pointless. ugh.

Interesting , but more plausible that wat was being said on the post I referenced. That post was on Yamaha boat owners facebook .
I believe it is associated with this site and it was even a lot more bizarre and moronic than telling people to use nylon bolts to attach steering to your boat , plus the idiot was using some very interesting verbiage, when he was told that you can not fit a 1 inch wide spring along with the spring arms and a 7/8 inch wide washer plus a larger 1&1/8 inch wide washer through a 5/8ths hole in tempered aluminum not to mention a 3/4 inch aluminum spacer that is 1 inch long I mean this was really entertaining Or perhaps the
parts were manufactured using recycled parts from the Philadelphia .

Instagram Facebook doesn't seem to be used by as many people as Instagram right now. I'm not sure about the older generation, but all the people under 50 that I know choose Instagram as a platform for communication and business. Even my mom runs a page there selling candles that she makes herself and even buys likes using the service Buy Instagram Likes - Real & Instant - $1/100!. So it seems to me that you should pay attention not only to Facebook for you to get off the ground and find like-minded people

This is just an appearance thing that you may be experiencing by how you use them. But in actuality depending on how it's measured, Facebook is much larger as it has way more facets to the organization.

Where Instagram is more for media sharing, facebook is all of that plus all the other things. Marketplace, groups, and on and on. The algorithms and backend of both platforms would blow your mind if you saw it. But let's just say the purpose of both platforms is totally different. And thus the reason one bought the other. It wasn't just for membership.
