Got an email from West Marine about their inflatable PFD’s on sale for 30% off if anyone is interested…as a solo boater most of the the time, their off shore one, and a lanyard looks pretty interesting. @fatboyroy @Can0n11

Gee, thanks. Another $250 spent at West Marine... <sigh>

:)

Those are fantastic. I have 2 of them and also have 2 Mustang Survival inflatable's.

I have 5 of the 33# Scheels house brand..I think they are Onyx. Those off shore ones caught my eye a while back, I will usually wear the trolling motor remote around my neck just in case I fall in (did that once already while landing a fish) while the trolling motor is running I can just hit spot lock, but having a tether tied to the vest would be better still, especially now that the water is getting colder. In the early spring the water can be 38° so it would be important to get out of that water asap.

I keep looking at the sub $100 jackets, but they all have bad reviews. Looks like a good time to get one. (Last day for the Amex deal at West Marine too!)

They were buy one get one free a few weeks ago, I wanted to get some but couldnt convience the boss we needed them this year.
