There has been talk of breakfast at https://www.eatatpattys.com/ on the way to the lake. I expect launch will be sometime between breakfast and lunch. With two families making long drives on Friday I doubt that we will get an early start.

Yes, clavicle fracture. Typically happens when you are swatski's daughter and go flying over handlebars on bike.

(she's in a sling/"figure 8-strap"? and will not need surgery, they could realign it, thank god)


I think I'm still coming, although with Kate out of town (till Sunday) I need to figure a couple of things out. (Single-parenting sucks)

Anyhow. Gosia's out, so my crew is down to me and my 14yo Magda (my 16yo Sandra is out, due to work/school conflicts).

I figured "dammit!" is right...

She's a trooper (well, a Girl Scout), and still wants to go, lol.
I think she will be skipping this trip, but we may be making not one but two trips into @Bruce's neck of the woods, huh! Who knows.

Was on lake Ouachita last Wednesday with some customers. We used 2 guides that are the top guides on the lake. The stripper are tough right now. Lake temp was 83F. If you're going to fish stripper you gotta get out there early. It's done by about 9-9:30. After that we went and started fishing for Kentucky's for the rest of the day. One boat caught a limit, the other didn't do too bad. They are a blast to catch. You fish for them off the bottom with a live crawdad.
