Y'all gotta be telling ghost stories and eating smores! Have a great night!

We had a great time yesterday with more enjoying than posting. We are having breakfast at Mountain Harbor this morning and will post pictures later.

You might remember we stayed at mountain Harbour for a week and loved it...except for the three days without electricity! Beautiful
Lake!

What a lovely gathering of three jeyboating families @Bruce @Scottintexas @Betik enjoyed Lake Quachita in Arkansas. All arrived Friday night for a fajita dinner made by @Bruce. We started Saturday picking some home grown watermelons from @Bruce's garden. Followed by breakfast at a local place enroute, "Patty's Down the Road".IMG_3493.JPGIMG_3496.JPG IMG_3497.JPGIMG_3499.JPG

Launched at Crystal Springs and headed out to find the perfect camping spot.

After setting up tents it was time for fun and games... @Scottintexas took jetboaters for joy rides.

Paddle boarding, rock skipping, fishing, and swimming also filled the afternoon.

As the sun began to set all gathered around the fire to swap stories and look up at clear skies with the milkyway dancing above, many seeing it for the first time.

We made it home at 7:30pm, just in time to unload while the sun went down and it wasn't so hot,

What a great trip! Lake Ouachita will not disappoint. It takes a while to get there from DFW but it's worth it. Super clean water, big lake, lots of coves, plenty places to stay and restaurants, it's definitely worth the trip.

Thank you to @Bruce and @Rana for your hospitality and leading the group, we would have never gone without your initiative.

@Betik it was great to meet your family and would love to see you on Lewisville one day (since we're only 15 miles way), we can take you surfing (it's a lot easier on your body than the tube) even it you want to drive over to Hickory Creek and we just take my boat for a few hours in the evening.

@Rana thank you for the hospitality and the great photos ( including the embarrassing ones).
@Scottintexas thank you for making sure that there are still teenager with values out there.

here is a quick recap on some of the activities.....

there is the extended version of the above. Kind of boring but the grandparents love it.
