I'm going to show him who's boss! By drinking this six pack of Octoberfest in July next to my boat. It was a whopping 52 degrees this morning in Dayton, in July. Seemed fitting. image.jpg

Yes, this weather here is ridiculous! Might as well make the most of it!

Crazy cold!! I'm thinking that you guys are in trouble this coming winter. Better tune up that snow blower and wax the shovels!

Tell me about it!

Hey @Murf'n'surf I was down your way after Bimini looking at houses in @xoomer area . Nothing yet, but I sure would like to extend this boating season some!

Come on down brother!! The Cape has some great opportunities for waterfront properties. Personally, I would move to the Naples area. Although I'm 14 miles from the coast, I'm minutes from the beach and all the fun for half the cost of coastal Collier County.

@Murf'n'surf I don't know anything about boating in the Naples area--where do you normally go? In the Cape we have the river--which you can follow all the way to the Atlantic, boating along the barrier islands, Charlotte Harbor a bit to the north, San Carlos Bay, and also the gulf. When I look at the map for the Naples area I only see the gulf--are there other areas near Naples or is the boating mainly limited to the gulf?

The boating in Naples is mostly Gulf but there are many places (all scenic)to go along the intercoastal along Keewaydin Island
You can go in Gordon Pass and down to Tin City and the city dock in Naples Bay. Also just inside Gordon Pass is the community of Port Royal where a lot of the big money guys live in beautiful waterfront estates. Heading South along Keewaydin Island you'll see Dolphin, Crocidile, lots of fish, birds and tons of secluded Mangroves and
the elusive Manatee. When you pop out at the Southern tip of Keewaydin you will find a nice beach area on the inland side to beach your boat. Just to the South within eyeshot is Marco Island where you can grab a bite to eat on the water or go shopping at the Esplanade. Just South of Marco starts the 10000 islands where it's a fishermans dream!

That's the Cliffs Notes version. @cwoav8r might be able to give some tips also.

We were on Lake Michigan out of Milwaukee on Saturday. Most years the water is 68-75 F at this point in the season. Saturday we had 58-61 F water temps. The very cold winter and very late spring have really made an impact this year.

Naples got 6.75" of rain today! You could of boated down many roads here today.

Octoberfest is muh favorite Sam adams, hands down.

I keep "hearing" that commercial in my head where the guy screams out, "Sam Adams!!!!!". I always cringe when the commercial comes on, because I know the guy is about to scream.

@xoomer Down in Marco island there are some beautifull places for example Big Morgan key, Carr island, Cape Romano, tiger key and more
