@Big Shasta Probably get some of that here. No wineing around. The Whiskey Room just around the corner from the Burlington Farmers Mkt.1015160946a.jpg

These pics are from last weekend when my family finished their local area code run series. My boy placed 5th overall out of close to 700 5k runners. All told we spent several hundred dollars on entrance fees for "Fun Runs" (seems like an oxymoron too me) this year most of which is supposed to go to charities. I'm a little conflicted about paying to run but it's for a good causes and we can do this or at least practice for them as a family. Although not reflected in the pics, I have come to greatly appreciate yoga pants and spandex on the female runners and. Noticed that for some reason womens' running shorts are shorter than mens'.

Possibly our last day out for the season, We had the lake to ourselves except for these Canada geese resting in the sun, on their way south. I know other snow birds that fly south around this time of year. They usually land in Florida.;)DSC00162.JPG

The Canadian type of snowbird all seem to land in my town. LOL.

It wouldn't be too bad if they could drive the speed limit.

@Big Shasta Being 45mins. from the border, we see them year round. Generally nice but renowned for a heavy right foot. The Mounties do not even try to stop them.;)

Ours have a heavy left foot. I think when they see 45 they go 45 KPH not MPH.

Saw this bumper sticker on the way home yesterday and this for the first time while traveling today.
