Aloha Gang,

We’ve been having some ugly weather here for the last month. Earlier this week we had a brief break of beautiful condition, so I had to go on a mission. My Ohana(family) been wanting to eat some fish?. Even with the epic conditions, I didn’t really see to much some times it like that. But I was able to get a Uku(Gray Snapper, Green Jobfish) at the last spot we hit. We were in about 110ft of water chumming, made a blind drop seen a small one but didn’t come into range. Went up just hit the surface glanced back down and right bellow me about 40ft this guy was hitting the chum. I immediately dropped on him, he turned head down and started swimming into the depths. I was like ok he’s out here still not in range, then I watch him pass to his left a chuck of chum. He turns his head and couldn’t resist, as he’s passing it does a 180 to eat it. Then turns a 180 again to to head back down, by this time he gave me enough time to close the gap. Now just in range of my KAP Hybrid130 Speargun, I pull the trigger and BINGO?! He catches a shaft in his hind quarters?, he takes off screaming the reel on my speargun. I baby it not trying to add to much resistance, as I’m not sure if it’s a holding shot. My partner drops on it to check and puts a backup shot in it. Done deal he’s going home we eating tonight. It’s always a great and Blessed day to able to do what I love to do, and bring home some fish to put on the table and share with the Ohana.??
