The official "What did you do to your jet boat today" thread.

1. Setup my fenders and marked them so the wife and I know where to put them. Her first time out with me was a nightmare. I didn't take into consideration ahead of time that she might not know the terms: Dock lines, fenders, cleats, dock, bow, stern, anchor etc. LOL..My bad
2. Installed the noodles on top of my windshield. What a great idea. Thanks @2kwik4u
3. Finally drilled 2 holes in my boat. Installed the plastic trash bag hangers.
4. Assembled and installed my Fortress FX-7 anchor and set up my rhode.
5. Climbed into the ski locker to insert the drain plug so I know where it is. I'm going to need a step stool. I could barely get out. That locker is hella deep.
6. Tested my high water alarm and made sure the 4200 cured.
7. Measured the port side storage door width. The wife wants a nice potty.
Upgraded anchor chain today. View attachment 152627Went from 3’ of 5/16” to 7’ of 3/8” chain

Very nice. Didn't break the bank? I'm between doing this vs buying a slide box anchor
$28, a Lot cheaper to buy a small section of chain at the hardware or farm store than a new anchor. I’m very pleased with my anchor and haven’t had any issues with it not grabbing in sand, mud or rocks. The larger/longer chain is just going to help it bite that much quicker.

Do I need more fenders, and maybe the 8.5" LOL

Actually, on mine (different year), I put one of the 2 ones on the bar you have up front. The other one I usually put on where I have the back grab handle, probably around where your tower connects. I found that one as forward as you have the front one (no less up at the cleat) really did little good, but I needed one back there before you get to the swim deck.

I have one mounted at the swim deck horizontally. It's behind the guide post so you can't see it. I agree on the bow fender. That's just there for emotional support. LOL

That rear cleat is fugging useless

(Look into boat buckles next to replace those transom straps. Will change your life...)

The fitting for the cup holder reduces to 1.5 inches, what is the larger dimension that fits in cup holder?
It was just shy of 3 inches. The bottom of the holder is smaller than the top. Then I got a reducer to get down to the 1.5 inch pipe. Not close to it right now, but will see if I can get pics of pieces later.

The lower tow mount was loose, so added some larger washers and snugged it up. It should come from the factory a little beefier..
Added port and starboard fender cleats idea from
Second trip out Admiral loves them (only using for temp docking) before was clipping onto to base of tower. Might add two more to stern.
Used the gallon sprayer and treated cover and bimini with 303.
Hose and clamps to cup holders.

I’ve had my fender cleats for a month or so. Haven’t built up the courage to drill yet. I put a message out to the supplier to see if there are other pins that can be used for more options. Great job!

16 yo son is a lot more flexible this this 53 yo..haha. He's able to fit in these tight spaces and be my holder. Wear long sleeves that fiberglass gets itchy.

My baby got a boob job today.....thanks to @drewkaree for the idea. Not to happy about all the Efflorescence on my cover. Storage unit is covered in it. Now that she has a good coat of wax, the cover slides right off. My cover was perfect until today! ?

My favorite video is the restoration of the wrecked police care. Whatever project these brothers take on, they do their homework, know their skill sets and are not afraid to take chances.
