my trailer tires have a stamp of 2013 .. I think its time to change regardless of tread ... thinking of going radial ? thoughts ? benefit doing so ...?

I bet if you look at your sidewalls, they probably have cracks. Even though my trailer tires are new, I'm going to change to radials next season. From what I understand, the handling is better and they are more puncture resistant. This is what I've read, so not speaking from experience.

Goodyear Endurance replaced the long time favorite Goodyear Marathon around 4 years ago. Boaters have loved these tires for many many miles. I have had them on two boat trailers now.

I found one of the best places to purchase has been the warehouse clubs. In fact, Sam's have a discount on 4 right now. Some clubs will not take your trailer in, but I was able to pull mine off two at a time and have them mounted and balanced

Looks like those tires have a speed rating of 65mph.

The Goodyear Endurance tires have a speed rating of 87 mph, not that I drive / tow that fast, but I do tow at 75 mph. Past experience has taught me to get the higher quality / speed rating. For years I struggled with the made in china pos rv tires, may pops, until I put Michelin XPS rib tires on my toy hauler and that solved my issue of the inevitable blow outs. Would have put those on the boat trailer tires but those tires do not come in the size I need.

I bought a set of GY Endurance to replace the OEM bias ply tires that were flat spotted / out of round. The GY’s work great, smooth as silk.

I have bought all of my tires from Discount / America’s tire for the last 30 years, I always get the road hazard warranty on my tires. The Discount tire road hazard warranty is not a pro rated warranty, if you get a non fixable flat or any other type of damage to the tire and it has legal tread you get a new tire. This warrant has more than paid for itself over the years.

yea they list that but ... you can prob do 75-80Mph max on those ... I very rarely go over 75 with the trailer

dumb question, how long do tires last lol? Not in terms of tread life, because I don't do enough miles to wear down a tire, but from weather/dry rot? 8 years?

Rule of thumb on ST types of tires is 3 years from the date of manufacture, regardless of use. Regular automotive tires are 8 years from the date of manufacture.

Yes but they are rated L , That is 75 MPH not 65MPH ... correct me if i am wrong that what I get when i search speed ratings
