What's your favorite Bourbon?

I'll watch 'em for the day in exchange for two three of those bottles!
Done! When ya gonna be here? :D :D

Honestly, they're really great boys. I just wanted an excuse to dip into the good stuff.

How do you like the eagle rare? My company recently did the grand opening of the Sazerac in New Orleans. Sazerac owns both eagle rare and 1792. I have tried the eagle rare

picked up a bottle to try, since I am a fan of everything else they are putting out. CA33F78B-7046-4AEF-A679-3F3159ABA2E6.jpeg

I think you're gonna like that a lot. I'm not a fan of rye at all, but my BIL was mixing and made me an old fashioned with that, and I have to say that it was quite good. I can't imagine anyone who likes rye wouldn't love the stuff, given my experience with it.

Not really a bourbon, but has anyone else tried this?

I swear it's like drinking an alcoholic pancake!

Mixed with Coke Zero BTW.

I drink everything neat... so its really sweet I take it?

If you like sweet... this is the shizznizzle! I DONT even LIKE pecan pie, but this stuff tastes like better than pecan pie!!!

My wife HATES Bourbon or Whiskey... she will fight me for this.

ALL the Bird Dog stuff makes for a new and interesting Old Fashioned - I like that maple stuff, but I can't take more than one drink with it. The blackberry in an Old Fashioned is a real panty dropper... but they usually are quick to tell me to put 'em back on, ain't nobody wanna see dat!

Woodford Reserve Double Oaked is my favorite. It goes really well with John Wick once the wife and kids go to bed.

Still my fav...

When I can find it, Pappy's. Day sipp'n, Glenfiddich 18.

Ahh, the peat! Not a fan of the smoky scotches, but that's what makes threads like this interesting. You get some ideas that you can use to narrow down another test bottle lol

I've got a bottle of Laphroaig just sitting and waiting for someone other than me to make a dent in it. I tried it, but it isn't for me. Dunno if you like cigars, but Drew Estate has a Kentucky Fire Cured stick that tastes like you're smoking a campfire, if that makes sense.

The Laphroaig with the smoke is one of my favs. You let me know if you need help with that this summer... :D

I've had the Pappy, it's not the best for me. Just not worth the hype IMO.

Best to date for me Michters 10yr.

I'll have to look for that.

Beyond bourbon, any gin drinkers here? Bombay or Aviation with some soda water is great on the boat. Taste fresh in the heat and doesn't stain if(when) spilled.

On the boat it is Gordons (don't want to spill the good stuff) with lime tonic water and on the dock it is Hendricks. After the sun goes down, out comes the cigars and Woodford Reserve.
