Other than the extreme coastlines in California, I can't say that I have ever seen the nationwide average cost per gallon being so close to each other.
If a person fires up Gas Buddy and switch to map view, you will see that the nationwide average is between $3.65 and $3.89/gallon. Yes it's high, but it's not $7/gallon and it has been that price range for months while folks are screaming the sky is falling. Keep in mind, that is regular gas, but it gives you an idea of the average price of premium as well. Diesel is a whole different story.
So will high gas prices change my boating, no. Because if it stays under $4/gallon, it will have no impact on us.
Ya I'm taking into account high prices living in CA which is likely more then the rest of the country but even then some places like Page, Az that normally don't have crazy prices are now in the $5 to $7 range.

Fuel prices aren't going to affect us too much. Our usual day is just some cruising to the cove, sandbar, or restaurants so not a ton of burn (refuel every 3 weeks or so). We have some longer trips planned this summer, and I may investigate dropping the boat in a little closer to the destination, but we'll see.
Was more taking into account on water prices which have been in the $6's from what I have heard (haven't been there yet this summer so don't know). I'm going to need to get this app.
This time when rumor turned into reality, it really sucked. Pics from this morning, had to buy gas from the next least expensive place (national) because costsco’s station was closed for remodeling/expansion. Unless the gas is noticeably cheaper ($0.50 cents or more) and within a few miles from the competition, as in 3 or less, i don’t think I’m saving any money after factoring in the value of my time.
Looking, for the silver lining in this, “at least I didn’t pay $6 per gallon (my suv calls for super / premium unleaded”, hmmm is the silver supposed to feel like the hot lead of a bullet? If so than I am a “WINNER”!!!
I bet big rig operators that pay for their own gas litterally cry at the pump and/or have to verify their account balances before sliding their cards.
Everything is high. This group of folks running the country have us on runaway inflation. Like a big rig coming down a mountain pass with no brakes. A bag of grapes at Publix cost us $14. ……for a freaking bag of green grapes!!!! It sucks seeing the wife come home from “grocery shopping” only to bring in like 6-7 bags of stuff and it costs as much as what a real grocery shopping run would look like just a few years ago with the whole SUV loaded down.

Yeah I switched from Publix to Winn Dixie. I set up a Winn Dixie account and I think I am getting more for my buck. I used to grocery shop by just throwing whatever I wanted in the cart BUT now I search for all the bargains at Winn Dixie.
Oh and about a month ago we put a halt on going out to restaurants. Holy smokes were we spending a ton of money going out to eat. We drink and tip too much we go out to restaurants.

My wife and I have not cut back on going out. However that said I enjoy cooking so we do not go out a lot anyways.
The sad part is the small restaurants and their staff do need our support as they are suffering as much as others if not more financially. All their food costs have gone and they can only raise prices just so much. As to the wait staff. I can only imagine how it all effects them. Less patrons smaller tips and no respite from increase in cost of living.

sadly we don’t have a Winn Dixie here any longer. Publix ran them off years ago. Lately we’ve been going to a more local non-chain grocery store to help not only with the cost but also with the selection. Sometimes the shelves are bare at the big chain stores.

The increase in money supply during COVID is massive, if you expand the chart over a greater time period its even more pronounced. M1 nearly quadrupled overnight.
Of course, they all signed onto it with COVID relief, knowing what it would do. Now they're pointing fingers, ironically at the only person who wasn't in office at the time. I think it was the right call, but they should have been more honest with the public about how we were going to pay for it, with massive inflation down the road...
Nope. They have different issues in Europe. They didn't have to do such big stimulus since they already had universal healthcare, etc. There issues are more related to global market, especially energy, (which relies on our weakened dollar). I don't think Asia has been hit as hard as the West.
If I pull out the 210 FSH and fill it at the garage, it’s $370 for 50 gal (189 litres). If I fill it at the marina it’s $475. Either way damn expensive to buy gas in Canada for a day or two of fun.

On the plus side, i dont have to hear " can u help me with the groceries?" When the wife gets home from shopping. A "c" note only gets you one trip from the truck to the house. She can handle that herself!
The sandbar I go to is pretty darn close. If I just went to that sandbar twice a weekend every weekend, I would probably only fill up once a quarter (maybe even less).
