Interested to know your technique on filleting those Triggerfish. They got some tough skin. Wish my 242 was setup the same as your FSH...would love to fish but mine just isn't made for fishing

Almost every large snapper was caught between 20 and 50 ft deep although the bottom was +/-100. The bigger ones usually are higher in the water column. We usually catch the best/largest fish off a drift line with a small egg weight on it. And live bait. Plus cobia, kings, AJ's. That usually just seems to be the most productive rig. As far as trigger cleaning, just do it backwards. That allows you to get under the tough skin. Plenty of YouTube videos on it. Pretty easy once you figure it out.

My brother looked this up before we went to bimini this year (as we caught a bunch of triggers last year...none this years as we were fishing deep) and said there is a technique where you peel them from the tails forward. A small cut at the tail then pull forward with pliers!Interested to know your technique on filleting those Triggerfish. They got some tough skin.
