I hope all you midwesterners and your families are doing ok with these tornadoes.

I know a lot of members seem to be in those areas and that looks like some major devastation.

We got extremely lucky here in Indianapolis. Looks like Kentucky did not have such luck

@2kwik4u how did you guys do, hope everyone is okay.

Agreed. A close friend of a friend was off line but has later checked in with an A OK from Kentucky.

We're OK. We're just north of the major line of storms. A day after there was much closer damage than I knew about yesterday. Spencer county (~30mi east) in KY has some wind damage, and some injuries but no loss of life. Mom is about 3 mi from there and they have some branches and limbs down. I'll be heading out to help this afternoon.

Wife's parents are in deep south east MO and they sheltered with a friend overnight. They finally got home and found no damage yesterday.

Local churches and outreach programs are putting together aid packages and relief teams. Company had out annual Christmas party last night and made an announcement that anyone that wants to go help will have up to 10days paid to go assist in whatever capacity they can. I think we're putting together a few teams of guys with tools, chainsaws, and trucks and reaching out to local authorities to see if they want us.

NWS recorded the highest windshear on record with this storm at 303mph. Tornado was on the ground for more than 250mi. The amount of devastation is just completely unreal.

Thoughts go out to those affected. While there's never a good time for something like this, the proximity to the holidays just makes it hit a bit harder.
