Ouch! I've largely gotten out of the game of detailing other people's stuff but my own. However, buddy of mine just received his TRX he ordered and asked me to take care of it. I've done literally his whole family's vehicles at this point in time and his multiple times over. Generally for my own vehicles I don't have to buy this all at once, so it doesn't hurt as bad. Profit margin for the amount of work it is to do this stuff just isn't there, which is why I've mostly quit doing it for others. Have a pretty demanding job already, 2 kids, life, etc to spend 40 hours in the garage busting my ass from Fri-Sun isn't really worth it for maybe a couple hundred bucks after materials. I think I broke it down to making less than $10 an hour after materials.

Finished the install of the lower right sim late last night, came in this morning to see it already in use. The panorama shot makes it seem unaligned with the other sims though all 4 sims are perfectly aligned/same angle. The far sim is a 737Max sim in use. 4 down, 2 to go. Fun fact- you can put a Oontz speaker just inside the parbolic screen and get 3d sound that makes your head spin.

After making multiple repairs on my wood boiler this year my plan is to build a new outdoor wood boiler before next winter. (Existing one is 12-14yrs old) Neighbors have a 500 gal propane tank they gave me for a burn chamber and a friend gave me a 560 gallon fuel barrel for a water jacket. Just brought the propane tank home today, took the plugs out and looked inside. A few gallons of liquid in there I’ll have to get out before cutting it but overall it looks good. Picking up the fuel barrel on Wednesday when I go work cattle again. Other than a plate of 1/4”, some angle iron and a section of 1/4 x 6” steel pipe for the chimney I should have everything I’m going to need.

Yep, I took some customers out to a very posh steakhouse a few years back in Naples. I remember the cars in the parking lot, which was also part of a shopping center seemed like. A Mercedes was like a Honda Accord in that lot. It was all Bentleys, Rolls Royce, Ferrari, etc. Freakin crazy. We rolled up in an Uber.....

Celebrated my youngest 16th Birthday today...


She always asks for a lobster dinner, it has become our little family tradition for her B-Days.

Of course I didn't want to break the tradition, she loves it. The lobster was great.


Yet, I couldn't really enjoy it. I've been glued to the news for the last 48 hours, thinking of all the families sheltering in Kiev's basements under assault by a deranged psychopath...

All I could think was...

I know I'm not the only one who feels that way, I just pray it'd come true.

I took this earlier this week. We have not had beavers in this valley for about 10 years after a Spring flood took out a chain of 5 beaver dams. I wondered if they would ever come back. I don't mind them, they are out of my way. Below my maple trees. There were trout in the ponds before they washed out. I am standing on the remains of the first dam.

Willow whipped up some new closed cell foam cockpit cushions from Sunbrella to replace the vinyl covers she made 2 years ago. Nothing wrong with the vinyl covers, she wanted to match the bow pad.



Pretty dam good job of matching the stripes all around!

These are the vinyl ones.

17 miles and 2600ft elevation gain over 3.5 hours. It was almost 100F and I had heat exhaustion towards the end of the ride. It didn't matter that I drank a ton of water. When we finally arrived at the restaurant, I felt like throwing up when I saw food. I think this is a symptom of heat exhaustion? The crazy thing is that my gf's parents are almost 70 years old and this riding is nothing to them lol

Yes! I think there are more cows than people here in Brazil and they export a lot of beef. It's easy to get a good burger and steak here. The strange thing is brazilians here in Rio de janeiro don't like milk and its not easy to find fresh milk. We need to travel to the mountainous states like minas gerais to get good milk. It's something that I took for granted living in the USA, the ability to have milk and cereal or milk with coffee anywhere in the country.
