I still have my first cell phone, an audivox CDM 4000 and it had a cover.. worked great as a phone. It was analogue and would work when the digitalis of the time would not…. I remember being out in the boonies and someone had one of the Motorola flip phones and everyone was like oooo ahhhh wow… then the owner tried to make a call and it wouldn’t work.. I walked up and said hey, if you need to make a call you can use my phone, but make it quick. This was in the days where the caller and receiver got charged for phone calls.. so he used my phone and made his call… sometimes there are advantages in antiquities …
