Boat:
  • 2020 Yamaha 210 FSH Deluxe
Situation:
  • None of my electronics will turn on
Background:
  • Recently replaced Aerator Pump
  • Recently replaced live well intake circuit breaker
  • Went fishing in wet and rainy conditions yesterday
  • Driving back in drizzling rain and dusk came. Flipped navigation light switch on and all electronics shut off including
    • Blower
    • Accessory switches
    • Aerator
    • Livewell
    • Bilge
    • Display panel
    • RPM gauges frozen
  • Engines still run fine
Question:
  • Where do I start to trouble shoot this?
    • Fuse panel?
    • Battery?
    • Other?
  • I just don't want to spend hours in one area if there is an area that is more likely the cause over the other. Thanks
J

I would start at your house battery and work your way out. Not sure if you have a main fuse on that battery but if you do its proabably blown.

Do you have a shop manual? If not you should get one, there are wiring diagrams in the back of the shop manual.

The fuse panel is on the front of the engine and is not very easy to get to.. its held on with rubber straps and sits on pins, you will need to pull the straps off then slide the fuse panel off of the pins to you can look at the front. There is a 30A main fuse that comes from the battery and various other fuses for other stuff.

There are also three individual fuse holders right there next to the battery attached to the bulk head.

As @lazergeek suggested, start at the batteries and work your way forward. The fact that you lost all power by turning on the Nav lights is troubling to say the least… in the head compartment and look at the loom that feeds all the switches and such then trace that back to where it is fed from… but do as @lazergeek suggested first and work your way out from the start and house batteries.

My first thought was to start higher since everything went out. I will work on this on Tuesday when I am off and provide update

I did see the fuse box and the 3 fuses you mentioned as well. I already traced the wires in the console. everything looks copacetic there. I already have the replacement fuses if needed and will hope its as easy as that.

By shop manual I assume you mean NOT the owners manual? Trying to find one now, nut no luck just yet. If you have a link I will be happy to take it.

Thanks again for such quick responses. I will update as I make progress.

Here you go. The printed service manual is worth it.
