Bimini 7/7-7/12 2025

Oh and for the fuel talk we filled up at bimini and they were only able to put 12 gallons in. Tried over and over assuming it would be more. I know i used more than 12 gallons but just sayin!
After putting in the 12 gallons, running to sapona, honeymoon harbour, going around the east side of island and a few stops around north side of island for conch salad and bimini bread we are now down to a 1/4 tank meaning we used more fuel in a day of sightseeing than in the crossing. Still have 14 gallons in reserve on back deck.
How many miles was the crossing for you?

Thank you!
Just fyi the route 15 of 56 miles was our previous trip! Both trips i did not start tracking until OUT of fort Lauderdale and the i initial trip we had far more seaweed issues

Well this trips math shows 4.65 mpg which is pretty astounding… the only model I know of that gets that kind of mileage is the 190 FSH @4.5

The gas gauge and common sense show 25 gallons used. I would trust that more than the 12 gallons we tried putting in even if we tried multiple times and went as slow as the pump would let us. Still, 55 miles or so with 25 gallons used is 2.x miles per gallon? I call that a win for a boat with a crew of 5 and every opening crammed full of food. Thankful i had i stalled trim tabs to balance this thing!
