That's with twin 150 motors, not supercharged which go up to 250, so it kind of makes sense. The 150 are supposed to be extremely reliable, developed for aviation after all.

That is terrible. . . . 41mph as tested. . . . Will never see that with any kind of load.
That is still faster than most ski/wake boats.

Scarab has had a fair share of reliability and QC issues, as well as noise, looking at those issues - that's a real deterrent for me. I would absolutely consider a 41mph top speed jet boat if it was reliable, surfable, and had the finish, space, and quietness of a luxury brand. Top speed means nothing, as long as you can go around 40mph that's plenty.

They are, just not with the base engines. That's the only reason I don't own a 255open at the moment - I'd need it without T-top and you can only get base engines that way.

I know this thread is about the 150 engines. I have the twin 200's and have seen 55+ with a fresh wax, fresh tank 0f 93, and only myself in the boat.

Edit: Minimal issues and nothing engine related.

Scarab 255 using twin Rotax 250 would be a 55mph boat.
And now with the upcoming Twin Rotax ACE 300 powerpack, I'm only guessing it will be running in the 62+ mph
