106 foot yacht sinks on the way from Bahia Mar to the Bahamas

I saw another article that interviewed a SeaTow operator who responded but said the water was too rough and the boat was going down too fast to do anything other than recover items that floated away from the boat.

I assume that they bumped ground and snapped a stabilizer off. Sucks to be the Captain in a time like this.

My cousin just got her first job as a deckhand on a Yacht that left Ft Lauderdale for the Bahamas yesterday. This scared me! Had to check the date on it

Surprised they wouldn't have bilge/water alarms near/next to the stabilizers if this is something that happens.....wouldn't have stopped it from sinking, but could have grounded it which would have been cheaper and safer to handle!
