Hello all. I just had my first outing with my new Yamaha sx190, all was great as expected. That is until my phone was about to die. I plugged in the charger and I had no power , then I grabbed my 12v adapter and tried to plug it in to the 12v outlet and it seemed like it had too much room in the outlet to make a connection . Has anyone experienced that with there’s? Is there a specific plug to get for boats or is this something the dealer needs to look at . Thanks

No specific plug for boats....sounds like something is missing.

I always add a couple of USB 12V outlets.

Thanks I didn’t think it be different I just wasn’t sure if I was doing it wrong . I will try again maybe pushing harder but I guess for now I will keep my jump pack for charging phones .

Replaced the cigarette outlet with this, it was a drop in replacement, it has the added benefit of showing battery voltage when the battery switch is on.

That is the one I have. I replaced the current USB one with that but kept the 12v plug so I could use it as well for light, pump etc.

But I also wired another one of those over in my glovebox and one up in the bow area so now everyone is happy. They work great and are solid.

If you’re talking about the cigarette lighter port mine is also very loose to the point where it’s unreliable to charge my phone.

Your boat should have a usb plug you can use to charge a phone shouldn’t it?

I found out why it wasn’t working. I think when I put the table away it pulled the wire connection apart. Fixed and working now . It seems to only be loose with the one I took out the car not with the blow up pump
