Hey guys , this is the first forum I have ever been a part of. I recently purchased an 08 sx230. I have been reading some good info on here and just wanted to make a post and listen for some things to look for with that model boat. I pulled the plugs on the swim deck the other day and had a hard time getting them back in and was wandering what’s a good product to keep the seals lubed up for easy removal and replacement. Thanks

I have the same boat! i also had the same problem. I use a silicon spray on the ENTIRE system. I recently purchased a rebuild kit from Jetboatpilot.com. Now they work as advertised.
To remove the stuck plugs i used a rope and created a lever to remove them before i rebuilt them. to install i gently "tapped" them in with 2x4.

FYI. I am not a guy who works on stuff - I program computers. so rebuilding these things were simple. 8 screws. I hope this helps

That helps a ton, I appreciate the info

Hey congrats on the new boat and welcome. Post some pics of your boat when you can we all love boat pics. Silicone spray is great fo the clean out plugs I spray mine before I head out. Good luck and enjoy

I really appreciate it, we had a pontoon years ago so we are pumped about having a jet boat.

After I get done using the boat, I pull the plugs leaving them on the clean tray. I never leave them in except when I am on the water.

That boat looks very clean. Congratulations on picking it up. @Scottintexas has a list of things to keep an eye on related to your boat. I would encourage you to pick up EZ-Locks and change the scupper if these have not been done by previous owner.

I will look into that, I’ve noticed most everyone is saying to change the scupper. Thanks
