Hello Jetboaters group,

I am new here and i would like to seek help from the group.
My boat is a 2016 Yamaha 242 Limited S e-series. I saw the 2021 252 SD model that has a Stern swim up seats and table.
I am just wondering if i could also install the whole assembly ( 2 Stern swim up seat ) even if my boat is old 2016 model?
Any suggestions?

:Welcome:
Someone on the forum already did exactly this on his boat, but I think he said it was a lot of work to reach down into that area to install bolts/nuts. It would be much easier during assembly:

Got it thanks soo much for the info.... i guess i have to wait for Amazon to post these products so i could order these

Where exactly did you buy these? I would love to add them to my boat

Awesome. Thanks for the info. Are you happy with them? Do the store easily? Suprised Yamaha doesn't offer these anywhere.

They store fine. I use the leg as the grill mount every time we go out. I don’t use the seat because where we usually go it’s less than 3 ft deep

They do offer them, just not as a package. You have to buy them as spare parts for the boats it was designed for. The issue with offering an upgrade kit to older boats, is the fact that their transoms were not designed for them. And then Yamaha would have to anticipate the potential issues folks would have with them ripping out if they were not re-enforced and installed correctly.

I do doubt dealers would be excited about this install either, as it would be tough and the labor could almost be as much as the highly overpriced parts. Didn't it work out to around $500-$700/seat? I was interested as well, but not at that price.

Yeah about that price, plus install. It’s worth it to me for the grill mount. I have the seat pad but absolutely never use it

That's a healthy cost for a grill mount, when most have done it with the existing table leg.

Yup. I hated the table leg mount. Too high. In the way. I was always afraid someone would climb up the ladder and burn themselves. At this height/location I can stand in the water and cook.

Also prices have jumped quite a bit since I bought mine.
