Took the boat out for about three hours today ran great the whole day last 15 minutes on the way in at about 35 miles an hour the motor went from running smooth to Momo‘s making a grinding noise and vibrating real bad so I mediately lowered the throttle and came to a stop turn the motor off and went through my check points but couldn’t find what was wrong with the boat . So I try to start it back up started fine but is soon as the RPMs reached about 3000 to 3500 the vibration in the port motor came back and it was like there was no power it we were just spinning the impeller and no power what do you guys think this could be. Didn’t seem to be a lot of debris in the clean out ports or underneath when I got out of the water

Likely something quite small in the impeller... Maybe a small twig wedge between the impeller and wear ring (or similar). Give it a good look out of the water with a powerful flashlight... you will probably find something.

We've even had members report surrisingly heavy vibrations from fishing line wrapped around an impeller shaft.

Note: Sometimes (when the boat is on a lift or on the trailer) little twigs will dry up, their swelling will shrink, and they will fall out all by themselves.

It happen at about 35 mph and loss all power .... there were about a handfull of twigs in the impeller area but the right engine had more but ran great ... As soon as he tried to put the power back on it would just make a spin and sound and very loud vibration

Often most of the racket and loss of power comes not from the stuck object itself, but from the cavitation it causes. There may be something more serious going on there, but I don't think it is likely and see no reason to worry.

Others will chime in with their thoughts. The group here will help you get through this with minimal hassel.

Exactly what @GTBRMC is saying. It can be somethign as small as match...
If it does not go away with repeat blasting in forward and reverse - may need to pull the pump.
But check with a phone camera first - should be able to stick it in the intakes on a trailer. It will most likely be a small twig stuck in between the impeller and the wear ring...

Just so you know for the future, but this is a 5 bolt process to pull the impeller. 4 main bolts straight in from the stern, one small one connecting the steering, and a spring loaded release on the gate control. Once you've done it once, it should take you 15 min to pull and put back. This video shows how it is done....except they don't know that the reverse gate has a spring loaded release so you can save taking those bolts off!
