2019 Chicago Loop Cruise - June 1

That's my plan too. FINALLY!!!

I told Becky since we are getting a late start on boating season this year I plan on living on the boat on weekends. Whatever partys or get to togethers we've been invited to.......we are NOT going. She agreed.
I am ready to get my tan on.

We have our niece's graduation next Saturday and her open house on Sunday. You can imagine how much I want to skip both and just be at the lake. I guess I'll just have to settle with battling the holiday crowd on Memorial Day.

@Speedling

Is this ok? I have positive terminals covered. Or, do I need negative terminals covered too?

I bought a couple boxes yesterday and was planning on installing them until I saw how tight some of these wires appear to be.

I would think that would be good, but I really don't know the rule.

It's my understanding that those red rubber covers are technically ok, but I would think they want something over the negatives as well.
I have the black boxes and had to notch them slightly with some tin snips to get all my wires to fit correctly.
I wonder if it would be worth making a custom battery box for things like all the big stereos. Never seen it but I'm sure it's been done! Some starboard made into a box with wires custom ran etc? Sounds like a fun project!
Like I said, just notch the black boxes in one minute and you're done.

Something like this?
Works really well:
Finished the battery compartment rearrangement, I think it worked out quite well.
I ended up manufacturing an enclosure - space is so limited, I figured that was the best option. Need all the room I can get for the big bag.

Yeah! I wonder if that enclosure fills the requirement or not. Looks cool!
Yessir, that cover/lid is hinged and completely covers the terminals.

I originally planned to install a bolt lock on it but the lid is very tight, it does not bounce at all. There is access the battery switches on the side without opening the lid, as those are mounted on the engine bulkhead.

Negatives need covered as well.

Getting excited for this trip. Hopefully I have a voice when Friday rolls around. Too much outside activity with allergies.
