2019 Chicago Loop Cruise - June 1

I'm looking forward to it but I have to admit that Kim and Bren are a little apprehensive about how rough it might get. Hopefully they're prepared for the worst but have a great day.
Also, I was really hoping to get the boat on the water at least once before we went up there, but that hasn't happened (THANKS MOTHER NATURE). I think I may take Friday off so I can run it at the lake before we head up Friday evening.

Check the weather a day ahead. You will probably have worse waves from other boats in the section just south of the bridge as the boats heading south all get on plane.
Showing 1-3' waves for Thursday so far on the Lake section, which isn't too bad if you're used to it. I will try and keep tabs and let you guys know how that is. Otherwise you can always get to the lock and turn around.

Almost time for Chicago!!!

I think I saw on the loop cruise website that a 6th Yamaha has registered, but I didn’t recognize the name. An SX240.

I just flew in for this weekend! Would love to see you guys go through! What time do you expect to come through?

Hopefully you guys are all safe with the hail that just passed through!

I think we’ve only got a couple hundred pics to go through, but here are a couple.

We had sun, rain, hail, more rain, huge waves on Lake Michigan. Was a great adventure!

Check out this camper top / hail shield. Lol!

Our little ones hid out in the head compartment with a bag of chips during the hail. Littlest one wasn’t very happy with the hail, but the chips made her happy again. Lol

We got a few of @scot71 trying to launch his boat to the moon on the lake. When I get them off the wife’s phone I’ll post some more.

That was a ride I really don't want to ever do again, but glad I did it once.
