Helping with a sound system install/revamp on a 2020 yamaha 212x. Boat is specd with the following:
4 cabin speakers
2 rear deck speakers
1 10" subwoofer
1 passive sound bar
1 HTX-6 DSP

I am wondering how all of the speakers are wired and channeled to the HTX6? I know there are 2 harnesses going into the amp, one of which is the subwoofer. The remaining speaker plug seems to be an 8 pin connector with the 6 coaxials and sound bar connected to it. Can anyone here give me any idea how all of these speakers are wired up, paired, and what their resistances may be?

Thanks,

My guess from working on a few Yamaha boats is....
channel 1/2 is the 4 cabin speakers
channel 3/4 is the 2 stern speakers and sound bar
channel 5/6 is bridged for the sub

If you can get me a pic of the connectors on the amp I could tell you more.

Also, all the wires in my boat are labeled very well. Stamped on the wires are things like: LRS Series, LRS+, RRS+ and RRS Series. LRS Series = Negative wire, Left Rear Speaker. This is how those wires are connected in my boat:

I would be surprised if your boat isn't labeled in a very similar way.

You can see the wiring labels in this shot:

I eliminated the Series wiring to my sound bar and added an Amp. So those speaker wires in the shot above are new ones I added to accomplish that.

So what makes sense for the rca plug. I was specifically wondering the speaker out plug. The 8 pin connector.

Not sure what you mean....
Amp has 3 plugs out, left most is the rca plug (already got that under control). Right most is the subwoofer speaker wire out (got that under control too). Middle plug is the cabin/sound bar speaker wire out. That’s the one I’m trying to figure out how the speakers are wired up to it / what speakers are paired etc.

Read the labels on the wires on the boat side of the plug. Then post them here.
I’m helping someone do an install, trying to plan and source now. They are not able to access boat as it is located away from home.

Ok so are you wanting to add a new amp or two? What are you using the amp in the pic for?
