Looking for a little advice. I am going to be adding a sub or two to my boat in the very near future. Since the weather is cool and I am ready to run the wiring. What size and Where have you all placed your subs? I was looking to do either 2 tens with one in each of the port and starboard lockers facing the two chairs as this may facilitate keeping most of our storage space utilizable. Or might do a single 12. Still not sure….

lots of stereo threads on here...i put a kicker 10" sub (45kmf104) in starboard storage locker..kept it near the capt chair for max room in the center for our cooler. not sure there's enough height, or flat wall surface for a 12"...maybe room under throttles? but depth may be prob. have seen some mounted on front of storage locker (facing the back of capt chairs) which would be nice and out of the way, but wall is curved a bit there and think they had to make a custom spacer.

Yeah I was at Cycle Springs today and they said the same about the forward bulkhead of the compartment. Maybe I will do 2 10” kicker 4ohms. How do you like your 10” in your system?

sounds good to us...probably a bit underpowered as i'm running all 9 speakers (4 sets of 6.5" and the sub) off a single 6 ch amp..think it's getting 180w

I have 4 JL Audio Subs, I'm not sure if you can see it, but you can see where I have them in the front and then one each under the bench seats behind the Captain and First Mate chairs boat2.jpgboat1.jpg

My 242X has a stock sub behind the copilot seat on the gunnel wall.
