The yammie website says the draft on the 242 is 17.25" and the AR240 is 16", anyone know what makes up this difference?

maybe the keel extension on the 242

Great question! Boat test has the AR at 16.25 and the 242 at 17.25 as well. The only thing I can add of any help here is that the 242 is 100lbs heavier....but not sure that would accout for an inch of added depth????

I live in Texas where all the lakes are reservoirs, needless to say, every inch does count in late summer

after further research it appears all the 24's do have a keel and "rudder", to many new models and features to keep track of,

don't be shy mike, update your profile with your location so we know where in TX you are!

My guess is that 17.25" is the correct draft for all 24' 2015s and the 16" spec has not been updated from 2014.

Regardless you would not want to run in less than 24" of water and only at idle. I try not go shallower than 36" above idle. The jets are giant vacuums.

Yeah I would think that the 16.25 measurement is a typo. I would be willing to bet that the 24 footers all have the same draft since they are the same hull with the same Articulating Keel system. Weight difference is marginal.
